The most advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities are available in the College's three clinical areas - small animal, large animal, and exotic/zoological animal medicine and surgery. These clinics are staffed by board-certified specialists, residents, and interns, and are supported by licensed veterinary technicians. Hospitalized cases are discussed daily in clinical rounds with students, house officers, and senior faculty. For more information, contact our Referral Coordinator, Jeannie Bormet (utvetref@utk.edu).
Various laboratories throughout the College offer diagnostic tests to members of the veterinary community. Please see the protocol for obtaining services on each lab's webpage. For more information, contact our Director of Referral Services, Stephanie Willison (sevans34@utk.edu).
Volunteers are always needed for ongoing animal health research.
Any Veterinarian that has referred a patient or submitted diagnostic lab samples to the UTCVM Veterinary Medical Center can get a Portal account to access up-to-date patient information or diagnostic lab results.
