Farm Animal, Dairy Cows

The Farm Animal Hospital at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine provides on-farm and hospital-based services to livestock owners and veterinarians in Tennessee and throughout the Southeast region of the USA. These services are staffed by a group of dedicated board-certified specialists, residents, interns and technical staff. The Veterinary Medical Center offers state-of-the-art facilities to handle all farm animals safely and securely. The most up-to-date modern equipment is used to aid diagnosis of disease and to help provide excellent patient care and practical treatment.

Veterinarians offer expertise in health care for cattle, camelids (alpaca and llama), sheep, goats, and pigs. Areas of special expertise include medicine, surgery, lameness, neonatal intensive care, and reproduction. Hospital or farm call appointments can be made at any time during regular office hours. Clinicians also provide telephone and e-mail consultations with producers, owners, and veterinarians. Clinicians are available for emergency and critical care needs at all times.

We are dedicated to providing the most up-to-date care for all farm animals and excellent client service to veterinarians and producers. The field service veterinarians provide on-farm service to the local practice area. The hospital receives cases from throughout Tennessee and surrounding states.
