Internal Medicine team prepping ffor minimally invasive surgery

The Small Animal Internal Medicine service is staffed by board certified diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), medicine residents, interns and veterinary technicians. Our passion is to provide high quality, cutting edge, and compassionate medical care for each pet. We know this is best achieved when we can work in close collaboration with the patient’s primary care veterinarian. Therefore, our service sees patients by referral only.

All of our specialists practice general internal medicine. Each additionally has sub-specialty expertise in a specific area such as endocrinology, gastroenterology, hepatology, pancreatology, immunology, infectious disease, nephrology and urology, nutrition, or respiratory disease. We work closely with other services to optimize care for each patient seen.

Specialists perform a variety of state of the art minimally-invasive procedures (MIPs) including gastrointestinal endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy and cystoscopic-assisted cystotomy (CAC), laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy. Additional special procedures include laser lithotripsy and ectopic ureter correction, feeding tube placement, and nasal antifungal infusion.
