Rebekah DeBolt, DVM found her passion in shelter medicine after years in private practice. She was the Director of Shelter Medicine at a local shelter and completed a Fellowship in Shelter Medicine through the UC-Davis Shelter Medicine program before joining UT CVM. Becky enjoys teaching the simplicity of high quality high volume spay neuter techniques and the complexity of shelter medicine.
Jennifer Weisent, DVM, PhD is an Epidemiologist with expertise in high volume spay/neuter, shelter medicine, and special interest in spatial and temporal disease modeling. She offers students nuanced techniques in surgery while infusing animal welfare and public health into the learning environment.
Alexis Niceley, MS is the Program Director for the Companion Animal Initiative of Tennessee. She has more than a decade of experience in non-profit fundraising and volunteer management, as well as animal rescuing and fostering. Alexis enjoys engaging with the community and is passionate about helping companion animals find loving, forever homes.
Jaime Norris has a BS in Interior Design and has been Program Coordinator for the Companion Animal Initiative of Tennessee, our founding outreach group, for 10 years. She is the Eastern Regional Director of the Animal Care and Control Association of TN and has trained in Disaster Animal Response. Her enthusiasm for animal welfare, fundraising and event planning, coupled with her team approach and organizational wizardry keep our operation running smoothly.
Sarah Englebert, LVMT, BS came to us after 5 years in small animal private practice. She has enjoyed the transition back into academia where she helps future veterinarians hone their surgical skills. Sarah enthusiastically welcomes the challenges and triumphs of each new student she encounters while bringing her experience to the table.
